Our retreat is based in the beautiful Franciscan House of Spirituality,attached to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria de Regla, Chipiona, Cadiz. Founded as a monastery in 1399, the House in on the seaside, with modern facilities, shown on the website:

In addition to our full programme of liturgies and talks,we shall enjoy excursions to:

Sanlucar de Barrameda ,home of the English Chapel of St.George and monasteries of enclosed Carmelite,Poor Clare and Dominican nuns.We shall taste the local manzanilla,a variety of fino sherry.
Jerez de la Frontera, for the Cathedral of San Salvador,and the Charterhouse of Santa Maria de la Defension,where we visit the contemplative Sisters of Bethlehem
Cadiz, provincial capital and one of Europe’s most ancient cities,for the Cathedral and the Chapel of the Passion,where Joseph Haydn’s “The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross” was commissioned in 1786.
