Our retreat is based in the lovely retreat-house overlooking Lake Salto, Borgo San Pietro, run by the Franciscan Sisters of Santa Filippa Mareri. The modern house has comfortable lounges, lift and gardens. Nearby is a private swimming pool and boat trips are available on the Lake, all set in the beautiful scenery of this off-the- beaten-track part of Italy, home of the ancient Sabine people.

In addition to our full programme of liturgies and talks, we shall enjoy excursions to:

Assisi (birthplace of St. Francis);

Rieti (the capital of the province and seat of the diocese);

Greccio (where St. Francis created the first Christmas Crib);

The Franciscan Sanctuaries of La Foresta, Poggio Bustone and Fonte Colombo;

Our itinerary is:
Thursday 13 September: depart at 14.05 BA flight to Rome
Arriving Rome Fiumicino at 17.25
Saturday 22 September: depart at 18.10 BA flight from Rome
Arriving London Gatwick at 19.45

The prices includes:

Return flights with British Airways and transfers
